Traders, Shops and Markets

Tideswell was once endowed with a wealth of shops, meaning that few people needed to leave the village for anything. Shops and cafes used to occupy most of the buildings along High and Queen streets, and travelling shops visited regularly. There were also regular general and pot markets. Litton also once had more shops than today and deliveries from Tideswell. The memories in this section recall the times when shopping was more local than today.
